28 October 2016— The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, represented by Consul Mevin C. Almonguera, attended the Opening Ceremony of the FA’s Inter-Organization Basketball Tournament at the Bato Bersurat Basketball Gym on October 23.

Consul Almonguera, in his remarks, congratulated the FA for successfully organizing the event. He also took the opportunity to thank the members of the Filipino Community for their support, which greatly contributed to the success of the recently-concluded State Visit of President Rodrigo R. Duterte to Brunei Darussalam on 16 to 18 October 20October 16-18.

The Opening Ceremony’s highlights were the awarding of the Best Muse and Best in Uniform. Said awards were bagged by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) and Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), respectively.
