03 November 2016 – Philippine Consul General to Jeddah Imelda M. Panolong graced the 1st General Membership Meeting of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants held at the Season’s Restaurant, Jeddah on October 14.
Consul General Panolong, who was invited as guest of honor, lauded the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Western Region (PICPAWR) for helping fellow OFWs in their usual community services and other worthwhile activities that benefitted OFWs through the years. She also expressed the Consulate General’s heartfelt appreciation to PICPA-WR for decades of championing the interest of the Filipino Certified Public Accountants in this part of the world. She also underscored the group’s contribution in providing valuable information, resources, and seminar to its members enabling them to come up with informed decisions to help them navigate and thrive in the competitive world of the accountancy profession in the region particularly in Jeddah area.
During the event, newly elected PICPAWR’s Board of Directors for 2016-2017, led by its president, Mr. Gerald Caysido, CPA, were inducted and installed into office. Immediate Past President (IPP) Willie Araza provided the outgoing message coupled with video clip presentation highlighting the achievements made during his administration. On the other hand, Mr. Caysido gave an acceptance speech which focused on his administration’s theme “Level Up.” He also laid out his visions and plans for the administrative year which include community, sports and educational activities. The 1st General membership meeting was highlighted by a seminar delivered by PICPA’s Founding President Ben Guerra on the topic of “Enterprise Valuation.” END
