08 November 2016 — The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago rounded out its consular outreach program for the year as it held its 12th outreach service at St. Eugene’s Parish hall in Oklahoma City on October 29.

Headed by Deputy Consul General Romulo Victor Israel Jr., the consular team (which includes Cornelio Santiago, Arneil Torres, Sheridan Sabeniano, Radegunda Dela Cruz and Marivic Rivera) was able to render a total of 300 service units, including the processing of one hundred and ninety-seven (197) ePassport applications, forty-seven (47) dual citizenship applications of both principal and dependents, and forty-eight (48) documentation requests.

They consular mission was assisted by the Filipino Friends for Filipinos, Inc. or “F4,” a 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City, which started out as a group of 17 married Filipinas dedicated to extending support to charitable projects in the Philippines. Ms. Marci Tolentino, president and coordinator for the event, led the volunteers from the setting up of the place and equipment the day before up to the closing of the hall at the end of the outreach service.

Mr. Jorge Delucca, Compliance Assistance Specialist from the US Department of Labor – Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Oklahoma City Area Office took part in the outreach under a renewed regional Alliance Agreement with the Consulate General. After giving a brief talk and presentation, Mr. Delucca stayed at the venue to answer questions and distribute informational materials.

The Consulate General will soon come up with the new schedule of outreach services for 2017 and post the same on its website. All applicants are strongly advised to pre-register for the outreach mission to be held in area nearest to them one month to two weeks in advance in order to ensure access to the needed service. END
