10 November 2016 - The Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) has successfully hosted the Philippines-Singapore-International Friendly Bowling Tournament 2016 at the C&D Bowling Center, Xiamen City 16 October 16.

In brief remarks, Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen commended the FAX for organizing the annual tournament which provide a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship, understanding, camaraderie and sportsmanship among Filipinos, Singaporeans and other expats as well in Xiamen City.

The tournament was participated by three (3) competing teams, the Philippines, Singapore & an international team comprised of different players from the USA, India & China.

The International Team emerged the overall team champion. Mr. Leroy Ang of the Philippines was the men’s category champion while Ms. Mao Li Qin of China was the ladies category champion.

The tournament was followed with a dinner and awarding ceremony at the Paulaner Restaurant, Kempinski Hotel.

The Consulate General supports FAX’s various events held throughout the year that redound to the socio-cultural upliftment of the Filipino community in Xiamen and Fujian Province. END
