10 November 2016 - Philippine envoy to Poland Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez met with the Director of The Polish Institute of International Affairs Dr. Slawomir Debski last November 07 and discussed a possible joint project to mark the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) next year.

The Philippines will chair the ASEAN in 2017 and in February of the same year, the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw will take its turn as chair of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW). The ACW is composed of five ASEAN ambassadors who have embassies in Warsaw, namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Also present during the meeting were the Institute’s Deputy Director Mr. Jacek Foks and Consul Randy Arquiza. END
