Paris signing of contract for the renovation1

23 October 2013 - To better serve the public and provide a more spacious and conducive environment for front line consular services, the Philippine Embassy in Paris, through the Department of Foreign Affairs Manila, has entered into a contract with ABR Vici Bâtiment for the renovation and repair of the chancery and the consular section. This upgrading of chancery facilities (Phases 2 and 3) forms part of the four-phased renovation program of the Philippine Embassy under the leadership and vision of Ambassador Cristina G. Ortega.

ABR-Vici Bâtiment was the winner of the public bidding for the project and was subsequently awarded the contract to undertake Phases 2 and 3 of the renovation of the chancery. A contract signing ceremony was held in the Embassy on October 18. Ambassador Ortega signed on behalf of the Philippine Embassy while Mr. Jean Baptiste, Director of Sales, signed on behalf of ABR-Vici Bâtiment. Ambassador Ortega congratulated Mr. Baptiste and the rest of the employees of the firm and expressed hope that the work done will provide both the transacting public and officials and staff of the Embassy with a more comfortable, better space in Paris.

Renovations will start on 04 November 2013 and is expected to last until January 2014. All services will still be open to the public during this time.
