17 November 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok participated in the “Klong Padung Krungkasem Market Fair” jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the Ministry of Interior under the theme “Wisdom of the World”. The event will run from November 03 to 27 in the area adjacent to the Government House along Padung Krungkasem Canal.
Initiated in January 2015 by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, the fair aims to support and promote the products of Thai farmers, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs and in order to develop a new tourist attraction in Bangkok.
The Philippine Embassy’s participation was made possible through the support of Chef Tony's, which will participate in the event from November 03 to 13, Thai Liwayway (Rinbee and Oishi), which will take part in the event from November 03 to 07, and Universal Robina (Jack n Jilll), which will participate in the event from November 10 to 16.
Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon attended the opening ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on November 04. Minister for Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai delivered the opening remarks. The Prime Minister and his wife visited all the booths together with other government officials led by the Foreign Minister and Minister of Interior Anupong Paochinda. END
