17 November 2016 – New York delegates to the Filipino-American Youth Leadership Program (FYLPRO) Jhett Tolentino and Noel Joseph Aglubat paid a courtesy call on Consul General Theresa Dizon-De Vega on November 15 and expressed their anticipation for the eight-day immersion program which will cover government, business, cultural, and socio-civic meetings and activities in the Philippines.
Consul General Dizon-De Vega gave the delegates pointers on how to get the most out of their FYLPRO experience. The pair will join eight other delegates from all over the US, and will share their learnings to their peers on their return.
The Consul General and the delegates likewise discussed holding a Town Hall meeting with the public after the program as well as possible legacy projects.
FYLPRO was established in 2012 in cooperation with Ayala Foundation Inc. to provide delegates with invaluable community, economic, and civic insights and access to a distinguished network of captains of industry and policy-makers. END
