17 November 2016 — Philippine Consul General to New York Ma. Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega met with Mr. Salvador “Buddy” Deauna, newly-elected councilor of Bergenfield, New Jersey, at the Philippine Consulate General in New York on November 15. 

Mr. Deauna is an active member of the Filipino-American community in New Jersey who easily won his first electoral bid for councilor during the US general elections held last November 08.

Consul General Dizon-De Vega congratulated Mr. Deauna and discussed possible areas of cooperation to promote the welfare of the Fil-Am community in Bergenfield.

Mr. Deauna hails from Camarines Norte and runs several businesses in New Jersey. He also served on the Zoning Board of Bergenfield while his wife Mrs. Cely Deauna serves on the Library Board. END
