17 November 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria led by Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles was recently welcomed by the Filipino community in Durban, South Africa for a consular outreach mission.

Ambassador Angeles responded to the request of the Filipino community in Durban by leading a consular team with the assistance of the office of the Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Durban. The consular team provided services such as passport renewal, releasing of passports and certified documents, and answered consular-related queries.

There are approximately 1,000 Filipinos residing all over South Africa and the Embassy regularly conducts consular missions in the ten countries under its jurisdiction - South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Zambia. END
