22 November 2016 — Twenty-five consular and diplomatic affairs students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) called on Ms. Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio Charge d’ Affaires, a.i., of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo on November 17.

Accompanied by their adviser Ms. Catherine Dee Samaniego the students are delegates to the National Model United Nations (NMUN) in Kobe, Japan, from November 20 to 26. 

NMUN is the oldest and longest running Model League/Model United Nations organization in the world.  Organized by the National Collegiate Conference Association in partnership with the Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, student-delegates to the NMUN Kobe 2016 are expected to discuss matters of global importance. 

The NMUN Kobe 2016 will also bring the student-delegates to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Japan such as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial as well as shrines, temples, and gardens in the ancient capital of Kyoto.  END
