22 November 2016 — Seven Seven (77) Softwares, Inc. hosted its Annual Business Networking Reception at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center on 17 November 2016 to extend appreciation to the Filipino-American business and corporate community, as well as to encourage the guests to network with each other.

77 Softwares, Inc. is a pioneering consulting company with its U.S. Headquarters based in Rockaway, New Jersey. It also has offices in Manila and Singapore. Its sizeable staff consists mainly of  Filipino and Filipino-American IT, HR, and engineering professionals. 

Co-founded in 1996 by Macario Fojas and his wife Adela “Delle” Sering-Fojas, 77 provides a wide range of information technology services to top U.S. insurance firms, the manufacturing sector, Wall Street banks, and telecommunications establishments around the Asia-Pacific Region. 

Its various technical services also include software development, business process outsourcing (BPO), infrastructure and application support, IT call center services and IT onsite consulting and placement. 

It is one of the first companies to outsource services from the Philippines and expanded its operations in the U.S. and Singapore.  It is also an elite provider of choice for several Fortune 500 companies. 

During the event, the welcome remarks were delivered by former New York Chief Technology Officer Filipino-American Minerva Tantoco.  She acknowledged the company’s pioneering work in the BPO industry in the Philippines, which began in 2001.  She cited how 77 is a shining example of Filipino-American ingenuity and dedication to entrepreneurial success, and how the company is contributing to the enhancement of technical clientele services throughout the Northeastern U.S. 

Ms. Sering-Fojas expressed her gratitude to the guests at the reception, and stated how she wishes to continue her work in overseeing the growth of the company and its services to all of its clientele.  She also stated that the company will continue to work closely with the Philippine Government in forging closer ties among the Filipino-American business community.  

Aside from her brief remarks, Consul General Dizon de Vega delivered a presentation on the latest economic developments in the Philippines under the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She discussed the 10-Point Socioeconomic Agenda, the Build Build Build Public Infrastructure Program as well as the latest positive news on the 7.1% GDP growth for the 3rd quarter of 2016. She likewise emphasized the government’s commitment to further support the IT-BPM Industry. END
