22 November 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Cairo emerged as the Best Embassy for the second year in a row during the ASEAN Bowling Tournament 2016, held at the International Bowling Center in Cairo on 19 November 2016.
The tournament also recognized the top individuals and teams. Teams are composed of four players each from different ASEAN embassies. Local hires Inocencio Ramirez and Ricardo Idio earned individual honors as the 2nd and 3rd best male bowlers, respectively. They helped their respective teams secure the top two spots in the male category.
The ASEAN Bowling Tournament 2016 was an activity of the ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC), which brings together the embassies of nine ASEAN countries in Cairo to promote ASEAN awareness and solidarity through its regular meetings and events. END.
