23 November 2016 — The Filipino Community in Berlin in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy presented “Talento,” a weekend showcase of the myriad artistic talents of Filipinos in Berlin.  Works of 13 visual artists were featured in a two-day exhibit which opened with a reception and concert on November 12.

Projects Managers Jennifer Lynne Fadrigo-Hankammer, Krisanta Caguioa-Mönnich, and Filipino Chaplain Fr. Jun de Ocampo were able to draw in various artists and hobbyists that included local talents Kay Abaño (photographs), Catherine Abon (sketch), Michaela Lola Abrera (photographs and video installation), Rowena Borsich (painting), Krisanta Caguioa-Mönnich (painting), Irene Crisologo (photographs and doodles), Citadel Cruz (photographs), Desiree Llanos Dee (illustrations), Mary Gay Dolorfino (mixed media), Trinka Lat (video installation), Patrick Soeder (digital illustration / graphic design), Isa Tabasuares (painting) and Vincent Valiente (beadwork and sketch). 

During the vernissage, guests were offered Filipino finger food and rum.  Shortly after the reception, a concert was presented by Berlin-based musicians Vincent Valiente, Isa Tabasuares, Jane Narag-Kupke, Paolo Pesigan, Cher Schonfeld, Rosa Castillo, Minet de Asis, Kevin Orteza, Mylah and Jose Mari Rubio.

Guests were offered a variety of musical numbers from popular and Original Pilipino Music (OPM) from the likes of “Ang Huling El Bimbo” to the patriotic arrangement of Ryan Cayabyab´s “O Bayan Ko.”  Lea Millares-Sylvester served as Master of Ceremonies.  The vernissage and concert was attended by over a hundred international guests.
