25 November 2016 — Philippine Consul General Bernardita L. Catalla led a delegation of Hong Kong-based consular officials and businessmen in a business-cum-leisure tour in Manila, CALABARZON and Cebu from November 02 to 06.
All first-time visitors to Tagaytay, the delegates were awed by the picturesque Taal volcano, the world’s smallest active volcano. They also admired the glass sculptures of Architect Ramon Orlina which are showcased at the privately-owned Museo Orlina.
In Manila, Ayala Land International Sales made a presentation on their emerging office and residential properties in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). They were briefed on the country’s economic developments and investment opportunities.
In Laguna, the delegates toured the cow farm and dairy facility in Bay of Real Fresh Dairy Farms, maker of “Carmen’s Best” ice cream. A treat of delectable Filipino traditional dishes and cultural show greeted them at Isdaan Floating Restaurant in Calauan.
Cong. Gwendolyn Garcia, Representative, 3rd District of Cebu welcomed the delegates and extend generous hospitality during their three-day visit to the city. The Department of Tourism Region VII and Office of Cebu City Mayor also received the delegation.
A business briefing and networking opportunity were arranged by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce led by its president, Mrs. Melanie Ng. The Mactan Economic Zone and Cebu Investment Promotions Office also made presentations on the business and investment opportunities in Cebu.
An exclusive “Pearl Talk” with pearl collection showcase was arranged by Jewelmer Joaillerie and shopping visits to Ferimar and Alegre Guitar Factory capped the business-cum-tourism trip. END
