29 November 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Athens participated in the 17th International Christmas Bazaar of the Friends of the Child (FOC) Charity Association which held at the Helexpo Maroussi in Athens, Greece from November 26 to 27.

The bazaar is hosted annually by the FOC to support its kindergarten school in Metaxourgeio, Athens, and its other charity projects.

The Philippine Embassy displayed two Christmas parols and sold pancit bihon, vegetable spring rolls or lumpia, chicken siopao, beef empanada, ensaymada, buko pandan and atsara, which were all best sellers.

Filipino products such as mango juice, native bags, fans and hats, ladies’ necklaces and earrings made from fresh water pearls were also displayed and sold in the Philippine booth at the bazaar.

More than 30 other embassies and consulates participated in the annual event, most notably, the ASEAN Embassies of Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam; and the honorary consulate of Malaysia. END
