01 December 2016 — The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou participated in the 5th Guangdong International Charity Sale organized by the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) held at the North Gate of Tee Mall in Guangzhou on November 26.
Proceeds of the event will be donated by the FAO to charitable projects such as educational assistance for less-privileged children and poverty alleviation programs.
Thirty-four Consulates General in Guangzhou participated in this year’s event. Products from all over the world such as handicrafts, processed or cooked food stuffs, wines, drinks, fruits, and many others were sold at the event.
The Philippine booth featured Philippine dried mangoes, Oishi snacks and great lakes juices donated by Liwayway China Corporation Limited, San Miguel beer from Guangzhou San Miguel Brewery Company Limited and cooked food such as adobo, embutido and menudo.
Philippine tourism materials were also distributed during the event. END
