05 December 2016 – The officers and members of the Knights of Rizal-New York Chapter called on new Consul General Theresa Dizon-de Vega at the Philippine Consulate in New York.

The group led by its President Sir Michael Dadap presented its programs for the coming year and its plans to intensify recruitment among the next generation of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to join the Order of the Knights of Rizal.

Consul General Dizon-de Vega reiterated the Consulate’s support for the programs of the Knights of Rizal and its overall and state chapters in the United States, noting that she is also a member of the Ladies for Rizal.

She suggested some program elements aside from the traditional floral offering for the commemoration of Rizal Day at the close of the year.  She likewise noted that the organization continues to grow in numbers not only in New York but in other chapters in the US Northeast Region. END
