06 December 2016 — Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson visited the facilities of KTM AG in the towns of Mattighofen and Munderfing in the Federal State of Upper Austria on November 25.

The site visit and inspection was in connection with KTM AG’s registration under the Board of Investment’ New Motor Vehicle Development Program.  KTM AG is an Austrian company engaged in the development, production, and distribution of motorcycles which partnered with Ayala Auto, the automotive subsidiary of the Ayala Group, to set up operations in the Philippines. 

The Philippine operation is called KTM Asia Motorcycle Manufacturing, Inc. and will initially cater to the Philippine market and by 2017 will become a hub for the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets.

Ambassador Angara Collinson and Commercial Attaché Antonio were received by Mr. Erwin Sellmaier, Vice President for Purchasing, Mr. Walter Uitz, Vice President for Operations, and Mr. Harald Mittermaier, Vice President for Logistics. The Philippine delegation visited KTM AG’s R&D facilities, assembly factory, and logistics center. END
