06 December 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa expressed its congratulations to Major Darwin Carranza LaGuardia on his graduation from the Language Teacher Training Course, Class 2016B, under the Military Training and Cooperation Program (MTCP) of the Canadian Armed Forces. A member of the Corps of Professors of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Major LaGuardia completed the 17-week course together with student-officers from ten other countries invited to the training program by Canada.

Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia welcomed the collaboration between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Canadian Armed Forces in the training of military professors.

"The excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and Canada cover many facets of cooperation, including the military-to-military component," said Ambassador Garcia. "We congratulate Major LaGuardia on his graduation," she added.

Major LaGuardia delivered the response on behalf of the graduating class at the graduation ceremony held at the Canadian Forces Language School, Gatineau, Quebec. END
