14 December 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Athens convened the last meeting of the year with the Filipino Community (FilCom) at the Philippine Embassy’s Chancery on December 10.

Minister and Consul General Rosario P. Lemque, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., of the Philippine Embassy, presided over the meeting together with Second Secretary and Consul Sheila Marie C. Tario; and Mr. Adam A. Musa, Labor Attaché, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Greece.

Filipino Community leaders attended the said meeting. The discussion focused on the International Migrants Day 2016; International Day of Persons with Disabilities; December as National Volunteer Month (NVM); the issuance of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC); the proposed Social Security Agreement between the Philippines and Greece; the ongoing Overseas Voting Registration, including overseas voters whose registration records have been deactivated by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and Voter’s IDs which may be claimed from the Philippine Embassy.
