03 December 2016 — The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu opened the first day of the resumption of overseas voter registration on December 01, in preparation for the 2019 Philippine National Elections for Senators and Party-List Representatives.
The Consulate General registered a total of seven new voter-applicants on the first day. The overseas voter registration will continue until September 30, 2018.
To register, applicants must personally appear at the Philippine Consulate General on 2433 Pali Highway, Honolulu, HI 96817 between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, except holidays.
Personal appearance is necessary in order to capture biometrics data. Registrants must bring a proof of Philippine citizenship such as their valid Philippine passport or dual citizenship identification certificate and order of approval.
Applicants will also be able to register during the mobile consular outreach to be conducted in the other islands within the Consulate General’s jurisdiction.
The Consulate General encourages all Filipino citizens at least 18 years of age on the day of the elections on May 9, 2019, to register for overseas voting.
Only those who are registered may vote in the 2019 Philippine National Elections. END
