07 December 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Athens conducted a consular outreach and overseas voter registration for the Filipino Community at Philippine Honorary Consulate in Nicosia, Cyprus on December 03 to 04.

During the two-day outreach, the Philippine Embassy team led by Second Secretary and Consul Sheila Marie C. Tario, processed one hundred ninety-eight (198) passport renewal applications; six notarials; four re-acquisition of Filipino citizenship; one hundred thirty-three (133) new applications for overseas voting registration; twelve (12) applications for transfer of voting records; thirty (30) applications for reactivation of overseas voting records; nineteen (19) applications for change of address of overseas voters; one application for correction of wrong entry in overseas voting record; one hundred ninety-eight (198) applications for updating of Pag-IBIG contributions; and around 80 SSS applications.

Representatives from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) and Social Security System (SSS) accompanied Consul Tario.

The consular outreach was conducted with the support and cooperation of Mrs. Shemaine A. Bushnell-Kyriakides, Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Cyprus, and the Filipino community in Cyprus. END
