20 December 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam, led by Ambassador Meynardo LB. Montealegre, held its year-end Team Building activity on December 03 at the Royal Brunei Recreational Club in Berakas, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The whole-day activity consisted of two parts. The morning session was utilized for the assessment of the Embassy’s programs and activities for 2016.  The plans and programs for 2017 were also vetted during the first part.

The second part was the conduct of team-building games among the Embassy personnel who were divided into three competing teams.  Each game was anchored on team values, such as cooperation, coordination, leadership and creativity, among others.

Ambassador Meynardo LB. Montealegre, in his remarks, reminded the Embassy personnel of the need, like in any other organization, to have communication, team work, and camaraderie to achieve goals. He added that, if they would be enhanced, the delivery of services for the benefit of the Filipinos in Brunei Darussalam could further be improved. 

The culmination of the event was marked by the sharing of realizations of some Embassy personnel.  Most lessons learned from the activity pointed to knowing the strengths and limitations of team members towards efficient tasking and practicable goal-setting. END
