03 January 2017 — Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann V. Paez recently discussed with Emirates Airlines Poland Country Manager Maciej Pyrka the joint promotion of the Philippines as a travel destination for meetings, incentives, conventions, and event during Mr. Pyrkas's courtesy call. 

According to Mr. Pyrka, a significant increase in tourist arrivals to the Philippines from Poland has been observed since Emirates began offering direct flights from Warsaw to Cebu City in 2016. 

Ambassador Paez informed Mr. Pyrka that she has informed the Department of Tourism based in Frankfurt (DOT-Frankfurt) about the interest of upscale Polish travelers in the Philippines. She added that she suggested to DOT-Frankfurt the packaging of tourism products custom-tailored for very affluent Polish tourists. END
