03 January 2017 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, together with members of the Filipino community, celebrated Rizal Day with a wreath laying ceremony at the Chancery building on Rizal Day.

Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel Fernandez and Consul General Eric Tamayo laid the wreath at the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal. 

Family members of the Embassy personnel read two of Rizal’s poems, “Ang Awit ni Maria Clara” and “Sa Kabataan Pilipino” during the program. END
