06 January 2017 — The Order of the Knights of Rizal (OKOR) in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy commemorated the 120th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal with the Flag Raising at the Embassy Grounds on December 30, 2016
The flag-raising ceremony was followed by a program, which consisted of the singing of the Philippine national anthem led by the Philippine School Bahrain Banyuhay Vocals; Oath of Allegiance to the Philippine flag by OKOR Chapter Pursuivant Sir Edre Bayno; and an invocation led by Mr. Amman Taulan of Muslim Tausug Association Bahrain, Rev. Jomar Pascua Pastores of the House of Praise Community Church and Mr. Rory S. Aguilar.
Charge d’ Affaires Vice Consul Joaquin Ricardo R. Aragon and the Knights of Rizal led the floral offering and the Philippine School Bahrain Banyuhay Performing Arts performed a re-enactment of the martyrdom of Dr. Rizal during the program.
Charge D’ Affaires Vice Consul Joaquin Ricardo R. Aragon delivered his inspirational message on the said occasion followed by KOR Regional Commander Sir Zane M. Thirwall who gave his message at the end of the program.
As part of the event, the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) under the leadership of Ms. Irene Tolentino conducted a Medical Mission after the program. END
