30 October 2013 - The Consulate General of the Philippines successfully conducted its Consular Outreach Activity in Tulsa, Oklahoma last Saturday, October 26.  The Consular Outreach team was composed of Vice Consul Ricarte Abejuela III, Mr. Silverio Manguerra, Mr. Danilo Cabanayan, Mr. Arneil Torres, Ms. Rachel Bumanglag and Ms. Maria Victoria Rivera.

The Outreach was conducted in the gymnasium of Victory Christian Church at 7700 S. Lewis Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Consular Outreach team was able to process a total of 182 passport applications, 42 citizenship reacquisition petitions, 16 documents, 11 reports of birth and 20 reports of marriage.  The team was assisted by volunteers from the Philippine American Association of Northeastern Oklahoma (PAANO) in the one-day activity.

The Filipinos who went to the activity expressed their appreciation to the Consulate for conducting the consular outreach, stating that it saved them time and money, considering the distance to the Chicago.  They also mentioned that it was a big help especially to the older Filipino applicants who would find it very difficult to travel all the way to the Consulate General. Applicants also came in from other states surrounding Oklahoma, like Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and even Texas.  There are approximately 12,000 Filipinos living in Oklahoma.

The outreach activity started at 8:00 am and ended at 5:30 pm.  END
