11 January 2017 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO-Canberra) launched the “OFW Helplines in Australia” — a pocket brochure containing important contact information for Filipinos working in Australia and useful tips during their stay.

Beginning this year, POLO-Canberra started to provide Filipino workers in Canberra with the brochure which can be kept in the wallet for easy access at all times.

The brochure is a joint initiative of the Philippine Embassy and POLO-Canberra to ensure that Filipinos in Australia have the necessary information on hand in cases of emergency and workplace-related problems.

The brochure can be downloaded from the Philippine Embassy in Canberra’s official website (www.philembassy.org.au) and Facebook page (@phembassyau). Just download, print, fold and its ready to go!

The brochure will soon be available through the Philippine Consulate in Sydney and our Honorary Consuls General in Darwin, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne. END
