19 January 2017 – Hundreds of Filipino devotees and Belgians flocked to the Saint Franciscus Church in Antwerp to celebrate Sinulog in January 15.

The celebration started with the traditional and ritual dance in honor of Sr. Sto. Niño by the members of the FCCA. Fr. Jorgedy Bago, a Filipino Chaplain for Seafarers, and Fr. Robert Godding, SJ concelebrated the holy mass.

“Sinulog is not just a local festival for Cebu but also represents our strength of faith as Catholics and symbolizes our unity with Europe,” said Chargé d’Affaires Alan Deniega in his message.

The Filipino Catholic Community of Antwerp (FCCA) led by Mr. Tony Guansing, the Philippine Honorary Consul in Antwerp organized the event. END
