The induction was followed by the opening of the basketball tournament in which six teams will compete for three consecutive Sundays.  Ambassador Chua led the ceremonial toss to signify the opening of the tournament.

The Food Fair for a Cause was the highlight of the event.  With the theme’s 1Love for BOHOL, the event allowed our kababayans to donate the proceeds of the fair to the victims of the recent earthquake in Bohol.  Mr. Nebre shared his  favorite biko, among other foods like ginataang halo-halo, ice candy and  baked macaroni.

New Embassy officers and staff were also given a chance to be introduced to the Filipino community in Myanmar during the event.  It was indeed a getting-to-know-each-other Sunday full of fun, food and games with the Embassy family and the Filipino community in Myanmar. END
