19 January 2017 — Mr. Jovel Chavez Kisinamal, a Filipino artist based in Dongguan, Guangdong, donated two of his oil paintings to the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou on January 17. The paintings entitled “New Horizons” and “Filipinas Mi Amor” are now displayed at the Consulate General’s community hall and receiving area.
Mr. Kisinamal said that “New Horizon” is about the Filipino working to reach new heights for the next generation. He described “Filipinas Mi Amor” as a work about Filipinos moving forward with one faith, one heart, one hope, and one vision to prepare a better future for the next generation.
Consul General Marie Charlotte Tang, who received the paintings, thanked Mr. Kisinamal for the donation.
She said that the Consulate General is proud to showcase the work of an artist from the Filipino community in Guangdong.
Mr. Kisinamal will hold his second charity exhibit from February 01 to 02 at the PTS CAS Chapel, Carlos Q. Trinidad Ave., Salitran IV, Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. His paintings are also featured on his website www.jkisinamal.com. END
