31 January 2017 VIENTIANE — Philippine cuisine was featured at the Lao Food Festival from January 25-27 alongside 178 other booths representing various countries, companies, and artisans.
The Filipino community made Philippine delicacies available to the crowd.
Ms. Arlene Lozano conducted a cooking demonstration featuring Olé’s Pasta Mexicana recipe while the Philippine booth provided sample products from Sea Kid and Mom’s Haus of Mushroom, courtesy of the Office of the Special Representative for Agriculture in Bangkok.
Aside from offering Philippine cuisine to the crowd, the Philippine Embassy also took the opportunity to promote Philippine tourism and handicrafts
The Lao Women’s Union (LWU) and the Lao Business Women’s Union (LBWU) organized the three-day event.
The Lao Food Festival aims to promote entrepreneurship among women in various sectors, such as in agriculture, food processing, and food service. END
