02 February 2017 LESOTHO – The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria conducted its first consular mission of the year in Maseru, Lesotho on January 28.
The consular team provided passport renewal services, document legalization, and registration of vital events to over 30 Filipinos residing in Lesotho.
The Embassy team was warmly welcomed by the officers and members of the Proud Organization of Filipinos in Lesotho (PROFILE), the Filipino community organization in the country.
During the visit, Vice Consul Marie Cris Chieng administered the oath-taking ceremony of the new set of PROFILE officials namely, Ms. Cheryl Rose Teguinos (President), Ms. Anna Balcorta (Vice President), Ms. Kimbhe Lozada (Secretary) and Ms. Marlene “Bing” Balboa (Treasurer).
The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria regularly conducts consular missions in the ten countries under its jurisdiction - South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. END
