06 February 2017 MILAN — Professor Harmel Tatel II and a group of Filipino teachers from The Filipino School in Italy paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Consulate General in Milan on February 02 to inform the Consulate General of the opening of The Filipino School in Milan.
The Filipino School in Italy is currently operating in Rome and will be opening in Milan this coming school year 2017-2018 in a learning centre located at Sesto Marelli.
The aim of the school is to provide quality education to the children of overseas Filipinos in Italy and to shape them into globally competitive individuals with a strong sense of Filipino identity.
The school’s curriculum is patterned after the Philippine education system. It is offering K-12 distance and online learning programs with options for home schooling, blended learning, and classroom instruction.
The teachers and facilitators are Filipinos based in Italy who have valid PRC licenses. The teachers have experienced teaching in the Philippines.
The school is accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED). It has an existing partnership with SEIBO College, Seton Home Study School based in the US, AMA University, CAP College Foundation, Inc., Philippine Christian University, and Philippine Women’s University.
