13 February 2017 AGANA, GUAM – Ms. World-Guam 2016 Phoebe Palisoc, signed up for Tagalog lessons at the Eskwelahang Munti sa Guam (EMG), a project of the Consulate General and the Filipino Cultural Center (FCC) to teach children and adults in Guam the Filipino language and culture. Ms. Palisoc’s traces her Filipino roots from her father’s side of the family who hails from Pangasinan.
Now on its 15th session, EMG is held biannually for 10 Saturdays per session. It is administered by the EMG volunteer teachers led by its Principal, Mrs. Milagros Moguel who is assisted by volunteer teachers, Ms. Ciony Viray, Ms. Gloria Baguinon and Dr. Clarita Quan. END
