15 February 2017 DUBAI – The Medical City (TMC) - Dubai was the solely representative from the Philippines at the Arab Health 2017 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai which ran from January 30 to February 02.
TMC promoted TMC in Pasig City and Clark, and TMC-Dubai. TMC has participated in Arab Health for three consecutive years. TMC-Dubai, which opened in 2015, currently has eleven Filipino doctors who work for them, offering a wide range of services including consultation and treatment. Mr. Nick D. Maranan, Clinic Manager and Shadda May S. Oliverio, RN, International Patient Services Nurse were present at TMC’s booth during Embassy officials’ visit.
The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi supported TMC-Dubai’s participation. Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil and Attaché Meradel April E. Reyes attended the final day of the exhibit.
The Philippine Consulate General inDubai met with Ms. Solenne Singer, Marketing Director of Life Sciences Group - Global Exhibitions, Informa Middle East, and Mr. Sean Hartley, Sales Manager of Life Sciences - Global Exhibitions, Informa Middle East, to discuss their planned exhibition, healthcare recruitment and training in May 2017, in Manila, Philippines.
Informa management said that they will be bringing 30 international exhibitors and hospitals to the Philippines for their healthcare exhibition. They also stressed that they are keen on hiring professionals in the Philippines because “Filipino professionals are highly skilled and are known to be good in English.”
Their company will be hiring Filipino professionals for hospitals in the GCC, Europe and Americas.
Arab Health 2017, organized by Informa Exhibitions, is the largest healthcare exhibition and health congress in the region with more than 3,700 companies exhibiting and more than 70 countries represented. END
