20 February 2017 HONOLULU — Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto R. Yasay, Jr. stopped by the Honolulu International Airport on February 16 to send off the delegates of the 26th Trade Mission to the Philippines on their 10-day trade mission from February 16 to 26.

The 32-member delegation will visit several Philippine cities and provinces including Manila, Davao, Candon, Vigan, Baguio, and Marilao to find business and investment opportunities.

The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii (FCCH) together with the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu organized the trade mission on the theme, “Catch the Wave.”  The said trade mission is aimed at increasing business activities by promoting Hawaii and the Philippines as investment and tourism destinations; encouraging trade and economic activities across the Pacific region; and encouraging the development of renewable and green technology.

The delegation will be singing agreements that are aimed at strengthening the linkages between the Philippines and Hawaii. END
