22 February 2017 ABU DHABI — Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. thanked the Al Ain Public Prosecution Office for assisting the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi in helping distressed Filipinos in UAE.
Ambassador Vingno met with Al Ain Deputy Chief Prosecutor Salem Al Kuwaiti at the Al Ain Public Prosecution Office on February 15. Vice Consul Anna Guerra and Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Mustapha Bayanan accompanied him.
Ambassador Vingno and Deputy Chief Prosecutor Al Kuwaiti discussed possible areas of cooperation to ensure the speedy disposition of the cases of Filipino nationals in UAE.
Deputy Chief Prosecutor Al Kuwaiti assured the Ambassador that his office is ready to help the Embassy in addressing Filipinos in distress.
According to him, “It is only the Philippine Embassy which provides all types of assistance that are possible to almost all of its nationals.”
The Embassy has been taking a proactive stance in making sure that Filipinos facing problems with the laws of the host government are given the needed assistance.
Ambassador Vingno stressed that the Embassy has always reminded Filipino nationals to follow and respect the laws of UAE at all times. END
