27 February 2017 SINGAPORE – The Department of Tourism (DOT) showcased the Philippines during the Aviation Festival Asia at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from February 21 to 22.

“The Philippines is the only travel destination featured in this event,” said Dr. Erwin F. Balane, Head of DOT’s Route Development Team. DOT was also Gold Sponsor of the festival.

“I commend the DOT and the rest of the Philippine delegation in their sustained efforts to promote Philippine tourism in Singapore. May this redound to continued increase in tourist arrivals from Singapore,” Ambassador Antonio A. Morales said.

The Aviation Festival Asia consisted of a conference, where industry leaders and players met and shared ideas on the latest and most vital innovations that are changing the way full-service airlines, low cost carriers and airports are doing business, and an exhibition, where the latest in aviation innovation — from large technology companies down to the latest Asian start-ups – were showcased.
