27 February 2017 SINGAPORE – Filipino fast-food chain, Yellow Cab Pizza, officially launched in Singapore on February 21 at 1 Raffles Link, CitiLink Mall.
Philippine Ambassador Antonio A. Morales was the Guest of Honor.
In her welcome remarks, Ms. Tiara Chopra, Director of Yellow Cab Pizza in Singapore, acknowledged the huge support that Yellow Cab Pizza has received from the Filipino community since its soft opening last month.
Ambassador Morales congratulated Yellow Cab Pizza in its Singapore expansion and expressed the hope that more Philippine brands, especially those under the Max’s Group, will explore Singapore and the rest of the ASEAN market.
The realization of the ASEAN’s economic integration has made it easier for homegrown companies to access more than 600 million consumers in the ASEAN region.
“In the Philippines, franchising is a major contributor to our country’s economic performance with a growth rate of 15% - 20% and an estimated turnover of US$ 3 billion to US$ 7 billion annually. Franchising, therefore, provides excellent opportunities for Philippine brands, such as Yellow Cab Pizza, to go global and showcase its quality, consistent product performance and availability,” Ambassador Morales said.
Mr. Robert F. Trota, President & CEO of Max’s Group (the mother company of Yellow Cab Pizza) announced during the launch that as part of the fast-food chain’s continued overseas expansion, Yellow Cab Pizza plans to open in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Vietnam this year.
Aside from Yellow Cab Pizza, Max’s Group Inc. also carries fast-food brands such as Max’s Fried Chicken and Pancake House. Yellow Cab already has branches in China, Qatar, UAE, Malaysia and the US. END
