01 March 2017 MOSCOW — The remains of an OFW who died due to a stroke were brought back to the Philippines on February 21.
Ms. Charina Castillo Legamia has been suffering daily episodes of headaches prior to her death, according to her brother Mr. Ferdinand Legamia. Mr. Legamia also works in Moscow.
Ms. Legamia was rushed to the Botkin Hospital after she started having seizures. She was confined at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for four days until she passed away.
Mr. Ferdinand Legamia visited the Philippine Embassy on February 20 to thank the Philippine Embassy, in particular Mr. Christian Glenn Baggas, the Embassy’s Assistance to Nationals (ATN) Officer, for taking care of the necessary permits and clearances as well as providing the repatriation funds for his sister.
The repatriation funds came from the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers of the Department of Foreign Affairs. On February 22, Ferelyn Legamia, the niece of the deceased, also visited the Embassy to thank the Embassy on behalf of the Legamia family. END
