02 March 2017 SINGAPORE — The Filipino Overseas Workers Singapore (FOWS) elected its new set of officers at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre Singapore on February 26. Minister and Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba Jr. and Acting Labor Attaché Ramon Pastrana represented the Philippine Embassy in Singapore during the exercise.

In his brief remarks, Consul General Dimagiba thanked the outgoing officials for their hard work in carrying FOWS even as he also congratulated their successors and encouraged them to bring FOWS to even greater heights in as far as its mandate of empowering overseas Filipino workers in Singapore through its skills training programs (STPs). FOWS, which was established in 2002, is one of the pioneering STP providers in Singapore for OFWs. END
