05 November 2013 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh successfully conducted its 4th mobile consular service at the Daawa Islamic Center in the 2nd Riyadh Industrial City on November 02. The event was a follow-up activity to a similar Embassy consular service held on September 28, also at the Daawa Islamic Center. The primary objective of the activity was to extend passport services to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) without online appointment.
The Embassy team, with the assistance of Filipino volunteers based in the area encoded 237 passport applications and processed 50 passport extensions.
The Embassy personnel once again conveyed Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago’s expression of appreciation to the management of the Daawa Islamic Center for providing the venue for the consular outreach activity and their support in the Embassy’s continuing efforts to serve the Filipino community in Saudi Arabia.
The next mobile consular mission in the Daawa Islamic Center is slated on 23 November 2013. END
