Abu Dhabi extremism

10 March 2017 – Department of Foreign Affairs for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs Ariel Y. Abadilla and Hedayah Head Maqsoud Kruse discussed possible areas of cooperation in Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) in Abu Dhabi on March 02.

Hedayah is considered the International Center for Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism.  It was established by the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum (GCTF) and some members of the international community as a center aimed at countering violent extremism.  Hedayah is based in Abu Dhabi.

Assistant Secretary for Middle East and African Affairs Hjayceelyn M. Quintana, and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil of the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi accompanied the undersecretary to the meeting. END
