10 March 2017 HONG KONG — Filipino jewelers participated for the first time in the International Jewellery Show at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from March 02 to 06.

Philippine jewelers such as Meycauayan Jewelry Industry Association, Incorporated; Ricel’s Jewellery; Sterling Gifts; Incorporated; and VY Domingo Jewellers Incorporated exhibited a range of antique, gold, and sterling silver pieces during one of the world’s biggest jewelry shows.

Karamar Corporation, which carries the premier brand Jewelmer Joaillerie was the lone exhibitor at the Brand Name Fine Jewellery Zone-Hall of    Fame.  Jewelmer Joailleries is known for its golden South Sea Pearls.

The Export Marketing Bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry led the Philippine exhibitors.  They were assisted by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.

The Consulate General regularly supports Philippine companies who participate in fairs and trade expos.  Aside from this, the Consulate General actively engages in business matching initiatives between Philippine and Hong Kong-based companies.
