06 November 2013 - Mercy Relief, a humanitarian-relief non-governmental organization (NGO) in Singapore, took part in humanitarian relief operations in various towns in quake-ravaged Bohol. From October 18 to 19 they brought with them the Pedal Pure Water Filtration system to various devastated towns which had no potable water following the disaster. The team also distribute food packs to over 600 affected families in Loon.
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore and Philippine Airlines assisted Mercy Relief by coordinating with local authorities and providing free cargo space, respectively, to ensure the timely arrival of the team and their water filtration system for use by the people of Bohol.
Mercy Relief has been a consistent partner in aiding post-disaster relief operations in the Philippines. It has also assisted in the community development of the BASECO compound in Manila. END
