15 March 2017 DUBAI — Philippine Secretary of Labor and Employment. Silvestre H. Bello III met with H.E. Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation of the United Arab Emirates, on March 01 in Dubai.

Secretary Bello was joined by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, Department of Labor and Employment – International Labor Affairs Bureau (DOLE-ILAB) Director Jesus A. Cruz, and officials of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) – OWWA Abu Dhabi.  Minister Ghobash was accompanied during the meeting by Assistant Undersecretary Omar Al Nuaimi and Senior Consultant Alex Zalami.

Both Ministers expressed willingness to sign pending MOUs and agreements during the visit of Philippine President Rodrigo R. Duterte which is tentatively scheduled in May 2017. END
