15 March 2017 YANGON — The Philippine Embassy in Yangon organized an event as part of the month long celebration of the Women’s Month. The event was entitled Finding the Right Balance: Stories of Empowered Women held on March 10 at Sedona Hotel.

Madam Marie Marla Chua, wife of the ambassador and Ms. Olivia R. De Guzman, President of the Filipino community Pilipinas.mm shared their inspirational stories of balancing their work life, family life, and community life. Madam Chua also taught a Self-Healing exercise to calm and relax oneself at the end of the day. During the event, some artworks of Madam Chua was also exhibited.

The Embassy also opened its Special Women’s Lane for Passport Applicants and distributed brochures on RA 9710-The Magna Carta for Women. END
