16 March 2017 DUBAI, UAE — Philippine Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymond Cortes met with the developers of a soon-to-be launched web portal for Overseas Filipinos called SouqPinoy.com. The website is an avenue for Filipinos in the UAE to be informed of latest developments of interest to overseas Filipinos and includes an online job fair portal and an online shopping network targeting the Filipino community.

Consul General Cortes hailed the group and praised them for their pioneering work in tapping Filipino skills and talents in the field of digital economy. He noted that this would be the first 100% Filipino-managed and developed web-based project in the UAE. The official launch is scheduled on April 02. END
